What People Say

Most Liked

Diners rave about the authentic flavors at La Bamba. The lengua taco is often highlighted for its bold taste and tender texture, while the tamales are made with care and receive high praise for their homemade quality.

The atmosphere is another crowd-pleaser. Guests appreciate the cozy and casual vibe, which makes it a great spot for any occasion—be it a family dinner or a casual date night. Many love the friendly service that feels like catching up with an old friend, making every visit enjoyable.

Don't miss out on the horchata. Though some find it a bit understated in flavor, its texture and hint of cinnamon make it a refreshing companion to any meal. Plus, the diverse menu caters well to different tastes and dietary needs, ensuring satisfaction for everyone in the group.

Most Disliked

While La Bamba excels in many areas, a few customers have noted that their salsa could pack more heat. Some diners crave a spicier kick, which they feel the restaurant lacks, especially given the love for authentic, fiery flavors in Mexican cuisine.

Another point of concern is the occasional wait during peak hours, particularly on busy Sundays. With a vibrant atmosphere and delicious food, it's not surprising that the place fills up fast. This can lead to longer wait times, especially for tables; planning a visit during off-peak hours is advisable if you want a quieter experience.

Finally, a few diners have reported that some dishes, like the horchata, tend to be mild and may require a more pronounced flavor profile. Nonetheless, these are minor issues in what is otherwise a highly-rated dining experience.

Dropped by La Bamba on a whim—and I’m glad I did! The place is super convenient to get to, whether you’re flying solo, rolling in with the crew, or bringing the fam. Service? Very good . The staff smiles like you’re visiting a cousin who just happens to be a pro in the kitchen. Started with the horchata—amazing aroma, like a whisper of cinnamon and vanilla. But the taste? A bit too shy. You kind of have to lean in and really pay attention to catch it. Still, it’s a refreshing sip. Now, the tongue taco? THAT’S the main event. Bold flavor, tender bite, and when you drizzle that house salsa on top—chef’s kiss! It’s like a first kiss with a cow (if they had such a soft, savory tongue—haha). Totally worth it and priced just right!

I love this place! The food is delicious and authentic, it’s definitely a place you can sit and chat while you enjoy your meal. Great atmosphere for a date or for a family dinner.

Authentic, friendly, clean and their menu is excellent. There's a kid's menu, too. The decor is beautiful--colorful and festive but not over the top. We had their chicken molé tamales which were delicious.

Definitely one of the more authentic Mexican restaurants in the area. Everything was cooked to order and their desserts tasted homemade. The tamales were awesome. The only complaint is they lack is a very hot sauce or salsa.

We stopped in for a quick bite and ended up falling in love with the food. I had sopes de bistec and my daughter had chorizo tostadas. Everything was fresh and delicious, can’t wait to go back. Plus our waiter was friendly and attentive.

The food was spectacular and so delicious. I ate all three Daria tacos in under a minute because they are so good. The price was amazing and it was so calm and peaceful and the waiters were so kind and sweet and everything was amazing!

This is one of our favorite hideaway Mexican places. It is small, friendly festive and most importantly delicious! I wish they were open later than 5 or 6 p.m. but we get there for lunch when we can. If you're in the area stop by you won't be disappointed!
